Sausage Sauce, Hango Classic

House recipe

  • 1 ringed sausage
  • 1 yellow onion, 1 clove of garlic and fat for frying
  • 1 dl water and 2 dl cream
  • 2 tbsp flour, ½ beef stock cube
  • 2 tbsp Hango Mustard
  • 1 tbsp tomato purée, black pepper and salt

Finely chop the onion and fry in the fat until golden brown. Add the the pressed garlic to the pan at the end. Set the onion mix aside. Remove the skin from the ringed sausage. Cut the sausage into pieces and fry them in the fat in the pan for a moment. Add the flour and fry for another moment. Transfer the sausage into a saucepan. Add (whilst stirring) the water and the cream as well as the stock cube, onion mix, Hango Mustard and seasoning. Boil whilst stirring on a low heat for 5 minutes.

Serve with boiled potatoes, gherkins, lingonberry jam and rye bread.

Add Hango Mustard to taste - enjoy!
